Severe Weather

The City of Dyersburg is located in what is known as “Dixie Alley”. Dixie Alley is a nickname sometimes given to areas of the southern United States that are particularly vulnerable to strong or violent storms and tornadoes. This is distinct from the better known Tornado Alley.

Dyersburg and Dyer County have a much higher rate for severe related events, than most other parts of the country.
