Low/High Angle Rescue
Eight members at the Fire Department have reached the status of Certified Rope Technician. These men attended low/high rope technician I & II classes in mountain terrain to obtain this certification. These men shared their vast knowledge of skills and equipment with the department. The Fire Department is at operational level.
Low angle includes skills in lowering and raising evolutions, packaging and removing victims from ravines or slopes.
High angle includes skills in victim pick-off, lowering and raising evolutions, and rappelling techniques.
