on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies
 The
Dyersburg Police Department received initial Accredited status in 2000. The department
has since been re-accredited in 2003, 2006, and 2009. Accreditation has been very beneficial
to not only the department but to the City of Dyersburg. The City receives annually,
a discount of $100.00 in liability costs per sworn officer from their insurance
carrier. Officers have detailed policies and procedures to provide guidelines
and requirements in the performance of their duties. The entire department takes
pride in maintaining one of the most professional departments in the country and
it takes every member, both sworn and civilian, working together for the Dyersburg
Police Department to remain successful.
